SAIC is seeking a Training Specialist to plan, design, develop, implement, and evaluate formal school and distance learning curriculum for the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Command and Control Systems and Applications (MC2SA) Sustainment Support contract vehicle. This position reports to the Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific (EWTGPAC) offices located aboard Naval Amphibious Base Coronado in San Diego, California.
General Position Execution Expectations:
- Provide instructional support as needed to the course manager for the Maneuver Warfare Course (MWC) at Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific (EWTGPAC).
- Perform testing and validation of classroom systems, applications, and servers.
- Use custom reports with course evaluation data to measure course outcomes and facilitate improvement of design/development/delivery processes and training programs.
- Develop and modify learning products to include presentation slides, instructor and student guides, quick reference materials, checklists, tutorials, interactive exercises, and instructional videos.
- Use established instructional theories to design and develop instructional content for Interactive Multi-media Instruction. Responsibilities include developing storyboards and instructional video scripts as well as establishing clearly defined learning outcomes, performance objectives, assessment items, and branching techniques.
- Create comprehensive written tests that link directly to learning objects and assess the learner’s specific knowledge required to perform a particular job duty.
- Work with instructional designers and subject matter experts to design and develop training scenarios and example datasets as well as with computer programmers to design, develop, and produce comprehensive courseware packages.
- Interface with multiple stakeholders to manage and align objectives, promote collaboration, and facilitate course development and deployment.
- Develop multiple instructional products simultaneously and work independently or in a team.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of experience in support of C4ISR system training, to include: establishing training needs, developing goals and objectives, developing training programs, and applying instructional systems design (ISD) processes.
- Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Required Proficiencies:
- Possess expert analytical, communication, and research skills, and a successful record of accomplishment of creating engaging course materials and assessments for both classroom and online instruction.
- Possess intermediate or above proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Possess intermediate or above proficiency with Web conferencing products (Microsoft Teams, Zoom Gov, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Command and Control (C2) applications including Global Command and Control System (GCCS), Command and Control Personal Computer (C2PC), and/or Agile Client is preferred.
- Recent experience with Marine Corps Training Information Management System (MCTIMS).
- Working knowledge of the Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP).
- Ability to deliver classroom modules following developed POI and training support materials.
- Working knowledge of the Marine Corps Prepare for Combat (P4C) training philosophy.
Required Security Clearance:
- Interim Secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
