The Facilities Supervisor will be part of the San Diego Facilities Engineering and Maintenance (FEM) team supporting multiple sites in the San Diego area. This role will be responsible for executing work order assignments with maintenance technicians, metric reporting, report formatting and perform analytics in facilities related activities. Must have a solid understanding in vendor/service contract management, scope of works, contract amendments, facilities BMS/EMS systems, facilities validation, commissioning, construction management skills, facilities infrastructure equipment related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in an FDA regulated environment. Must be able to lead a multi-disciplined staff of maintenance technicians and drive ownership and accountability all throughout FEM. Responsibilities: Manage maintenance technicians daily with appropriate guidance, work order assignments with minimal impact to operations. Drive accountability and ownership with multiple Vendors of critical FEM related Service Contracts (mechanical, water treatment, electrical, building, fire, life safety, calibration, elevator, security, emergency generator maintenance contracts) and ability to discuss with Facilities Leadership as required. Solid understanding of Life support systems, Fire safety, emergency systems, elevators, lighting systems, procedures and compliance. Support vendors for onsite visits and manage all vendors as required. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a variety of facilities equipment, infrastructure, planning, scheduling efforts supporting manufacturing, laboratory environments, validated spaces, critical business functions and administrative areas. Provides direct input into multiple work orders (EAM and SNOW) to ensure health of the asset throughout the lifecycle. Examples of input include onboarding equipment, uploading maintenance plans, task lists, PM scheduling, service contract creation/amendments, and overall maintenance of existing service contract costs, and Statement of Work SOW duration. Ensure compliance with the regulatory, quality, environmental, safety and health procedures. Partner with Finance/Procurement in development and maintenance of Quality Business Reviews - QBRs and Key Performance Indicators - KPI’s on multiple service contracts. Research and present findings in reports, skills to recognize problems, implement appropriate solutions and evaluate results, progress and sustainability. Work daily with Facilities Maintenance Technicians, Supervisors and Facilities Engineering to maintain San Diego Facilities infrastructure, equipment and operations. Responsible for supporting site 24/7 and sustainment of call-out technician support system for emergencies, planned/unplanned events, security and BMS alarm-related systems. Requirements: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5+ years of facilities infrastructure equipment and maintenance focus experience or equivalent work experience with 0-2 years of Supervisory experience. Preferred candidates may have completed facilities management coursework in a technical or trade school, such as HVAC or plumbing, active industry facilities management association membership, Strong leadership, team management, allocation of resources and consensus- building skills, Strong analytical, qualitative skills, ability to employ interpersonal skills in situations calling for tact, diplomacy and flexibility. Excellent written and verbal communication skills General understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a manufacturing and controlled environment. Flexibility in problem solving, providing direction and work hours to meet business objectives. Ability to work independently and cross functionally in a dynamic environment. Project management - previous experience of delivering projects on budget/time. PM certification preferred. Working knowledge of procurement and negotiation and management of external contracts. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills Previous experience of Facilities management in a technical capacity. Solid understanding of Facilities Infrastructure such as HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Boilers, Cooling Towers, Chillers, Compressors, Vacuum pumps, Condensers Pumps, BMS/Controls, Fire Systems, Generators, temperature-controlled environments, RODI systems, data centers and other systems used to support a regulated manufacturing environment. General understanding of AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam Must have solid understanding in maintaining an integrated master schedule for all facility related activities for all sites in San Diego. General understanding of building automated programs. Siemens Insight or Desigo BMS preferred. Highly organized and detailed-oriented, with superior data analysis/synthesis skills, both quantitative and qualitative General understanding of project management practices and software. Must be well-versed with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. The estimated base salary range for the Supervisor, Facilities role based in the United States of America is: $73,400 - $110,200. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
