As such, BRP designs and builds the software systems, risk models and operational processes that minimize risk and maximize trust in Amazon.com. BRP organization is looking for a Business Analyst for its In Region support team. The team is being grown to provide insights and support for BRP in our emerging marketplaces and provide analytical solutions to help drive operational efficiencies, uncover the hidden risks and trends, reduce investigation errors and bad debt, improve customer experience and predict & recommend the optimizations for future state of BRP buyer abuse in each country.

Key job responsibilities
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for modeling complex problems, discovering insights and identifying opportunities through the use of business intelligence, data mining and visualization techniques. You will need to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to solve problems, create operational efficiencies, and deliver successfully against high organizational standards. The candidate should be able to apply a breadth of tools, data sources and analytical techniques to answer a wide range of high-impact business questions and present the insights in concise and effective manner. Additionally, the candidate should be an effective communicator capable of independently driving issues to resolution and communicating insights to non-technical audiences. This is a high impact role with goals that directly impacts the bottom line of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Use analytics and data mining techniques to solve complex problems and drive business decisions.
- Employ the appropriate tools, methodologies to discover patterns of risks, abuse and help reduce bad debt
- Design experiments, test hypotheses, and build actionable models to optimize BRP in a specific country

- Solve analytical problems, and effectively communicate methodologies and results
- Build analyses for product launches

- Draw inferences and conclusions, and create dashboards and visualizations of processed data, identify trends, anomalies
- Work closely with internal stakeholders such as business teams, engineering teams, and partner teams and align them with respect to your focus area

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
- Experience with SQL
- 2+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
