SAIC is in need of an experienced Senior Navy Integrated Air Defense Expert in E-2C/D Hawkeye or F/A-18F Super Hornet to provide Subject Matter Expertise in integrated air defense tactics, techniques and procedures to support advanced, high-level pre-deployment training for carrier strike groups and other naval forces. Place of performance is ONSITE in San Diego, CA, with occasional travel to Fleet Concentration Areas.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide subject matter expertise in the latest Navy air defense tactics, techniques, procedures, and doctrine, to include C2 organization, unit employment, capabilities/limitations, integration, and threat capabilities
  • Develop advanced war game scenarios to support training of Navy carrier strike group commanders, air defense commanders, and other warfare commanders.
  • Facilitate war game execution by serving as a senior white cell representative for the Air Defense Commander and staff. Manage accomplishment of training objectives by adjusting war game scenario aspects, and role-playing air defense components as required.
  • Be prepared to facilitate tactical air defense planning seminars
  • Be prepared to present classroom instruction on IAMD
  • Liaise with Navy and Joint centers of excellence, and provide SME support to TTGP in latest USN doctrine, tactics, techniques and procedures for air defense

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and Ten (10) years demonstrated expertise in planning, implementation and execution of advanced, high-level Navy air defense tactics, direction and employment of units, and coordination requirements between air defense components, warfare commanders, subordinate units, and higher headquarters.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance
  • Thorough knowledge of air defense unit capabilities and limitations, such as radar capabilities, missile capabilities, aircraft capabilities, etc
  • Experience translating air defense training objectives into a comprehensive war game exercise.
  • Designation as Aircraft Mission Commander, or equivalent similar designation
  • Understanding of Cooperative Engagement Capability and integrated fire control concepts

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Designation as SFTI/WTI
  • Experience with Fleet Synthetic Training
  • Experience with Live-Virtual-Constructive training initiatives
  • Experience at TTGP and CSG-15

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
