Responsible for designing, developing, and administering complex/impactful learning experiences, programs and materials that maximize employee performance and align with operational and strategic objectives and goals.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leads individual project teams and provides direction in the research, design, and development of learning and development programs and systems that align with overall business and human resource development strategies, specifically in regard to innovation projects.

Leads the IT, DNA & Training cross-functional support teams for Jenius training platform and troubleshoots as needed.

Designs, develops, and produces sound learning solutions, including assisting with needs assessment, and participating in program design, development, implementation, and evaluation.

Manages Jenius Learning Management Training System to ensure its functionality, performance, and updates. Works with Inkling partners (internal and external) on continued platform improvement, subject manager experts on course development, and ongoing upkeep and enhancement of resource library.

Collaborates with key field and CSC staff to identify system training requirements, performance expectations and desired skill/knowledge outcomes by consulting with internal customers and business partners regarding learning and development issues, conducting assessment and analysis to identify new development needs, and evaluating current materials for effectiveness and efficiency.

Researches, designs, and develops training and development courses and other performance enhancement tools for employees and organization members including classroom lectures, online courses, and self-study sessions as well as technology enhancements for Jenius, online training system. Ensures such programs align with overall business and human resources development strategies, enhance job-specific employee skills, and inspire ongoing operational learning activities.

Provides timely feedback to internal customers and business partners on the performance of training courses, recommends changes and enhancements, develops plans to address performance gaps, and ensures transparency & communication to all the appropriate parties.

Leads visual and instructional designer positions, assigning projects, monitoring progress, and providing feedback and instruction for continued development.

Participates on cross-functional teams, as appropriate, to assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of training courses. Serves as a technical resource on training and development issues.

Performs other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required, assigned, and directed, such as project management of playbooks, guidebooks, web-based training programs and more.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education - Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Behavioral Sciences, or Industrial/Organizational Psychology; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience - Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in instructional design/project management designing and developing course materials and Computer or Web-based training in a large corporate environment.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities - Requires knowledge of instructional design, training, human performance and adult learning; web/computer-based training knowledge desired. Strong analytical and systems skills. Excellent oral and written English communication skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills. Strong working knowledge of training technology, personal computers, and related software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, database, authoring tools, multimedia tools). Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior.

Physical Requirements - Ability to speak/hear clearly in person and on the telephone. Ability to travel approximately 15% - 20% of time as business needs require.

The range for this position is $79,800 - $111,800 and is based on an employee located at our corporate headquarters in San Diego. If the candidate is hired in a different city to work remote, we will apply a geographic pay differential based on the cost of labor in the market in which the employee resides.
