The PACE (Payroll, Automation, Customer Experience) Global Business Operations Leader, reporting to the Global Director PACE, is responsible for managing, monitoring, reporting on, and leading various projects and initiatives impacting PACE and across our partner organizations throughout HRSS. Strong background with and working knowledge of end-to-end operations across PACE, including the up and down stream impacts to partner organizations. Must be able to work through ambiguity, be self-motivated with the ability to piece together facts and collaborate with partners on solution implementation and resolution.

To be successful in this role, the PACE Global Business Operations Leader must be an independent thinker with the ability to work with little day-to-day direction. In this role, this individual must be able to foster and drive collaboration, engagement, trust, transparency, and accountability across HR Shared Services. Must be able to move with agility and velocity, with an extreme focus on ownership and accountability leading to desired outcomes.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

  • Drive execution across all workstreams of the priority to ensure we deliver outcomes
  • Define and manage op mechs and operationalize tools and processes for the team
  • Identify and escalate risks, issues and dependencies to ensure the team can execute with velocity
  • Track progress against outcomes and provide regular updates to sponsors and P&P Leadership
  • Recommend changes needed to facilitate progress of deliverables and outcomes

Responsibilities
  • You will lead and drive operations planning and execution in partnership with cross-functional groups such as Payroll, Finance, Technology, Benefits, Compensation, Legal, and our third-party partner, ADP, with members located around the globe, to deliver successful business outcomes.
  • You will be a thought partner to the PACE team and program sponsors on best practices, requirements, and risks for implementing operational changes.
  • You will drive your operations team to deliver strategic outcomes; manage dependencies and remove obstacles that stand between your team and business success.
  • You are expected to lead operational work and changes using best practices for initiating, planning, and executing critical cross-functional programs end-to-end.
  • You will drive roadmaps and dashboards across complex, multi-phase programs involving multiple contributing teams.
  • You build relationships spanning all organizational levels and leverage those relationships to deliver successful operational changes.
  • You look around corners to anticipate risks and proactively manage these risks before they become blockers.
  • You foster collaboration and shared accountability for outcomes with appropriate P&P functions and other functional internal and external partners.
  • You will drive increased rigor and adoption across programs and facilitate teams transitioning to high-performing teams.
  • You will see the big picture and ensure processes scale appropriately with the organization.
  • 8+ years of operational management experience in a technology company, with direct experience working with multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Payroll expertise and/or experience working with payroll service providers is a plus.
  • Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity; lead and drive change while keeping teams engaged and motivated.

  • BA/BS degree is in Business, Human Resources, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields is desired.

Tools

  • Highly skilled in the creation of program plans, presentations, roadmaps, dashboards, stakeholder communications and other documents.
  • High attention to detail with ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and distill it in crisp, clear language appropriate for a variety of audiences including technology and business executives.
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and SharePoint) required.
  • Working knowledge of Project Management, Lifecycle Management and Agile tools.
