POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely setup of all recipes, new menu items, limited-time offers, digital offers, and coupons across all systems. Aligns cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales Analytics, IT, Product Marketing, and Training to maintain data integrity, investigate and resolve discrepancies to streamline processes, and identify, assess and recommend process improvements. Contributes directly to technical projects, including new point-of-sale (POS) systems, cloud kitchens, and pricing portals.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides support for menu item setup and system initiatives from initial setup to implementation, using operational knowledge to enhance restaurant performance by identifying issues, evaluating processes, and improving existing systems.
Serves as the primary liaison for cross-functional communication, keeping all teams aligned on project timelines, system updates, and process changes. Facilitates cross-functional partners in delivering on action items.
Manages menu item and recipe setup, ensuring accuracy across all systems in alignment with marketing calendar deliverables.
Owns and maintains data integrity for menu items and recipes across platforms, ensuring proper depletions, discounts, and modifications.
Reviews processes to identify gaps and recommends improvements that streamline menu item setup, ensure data accuracy, and align with business goals.
Collaborates with Product Marketing to confirm item details, naming conventions, and recipe accuracy.
Partners with Operations to align menu item display names for POS and kitchen display system (KDS) screens.
Works with Restaurant Services to assess back-of-house impacts, including inventory adjustments.
Ensures Supply Chain has the correct ingredient line items ahead of new product launches. Performs audits, investigates and resolves issues for a successful rollout.
Works closely with Sales Analytics to make recommendations on categorizing menu items for optimal reporting.
Leads consultation with IT and coordinates menu item setup criteria, timing, and implementation.
Ensures Pricing Team is informed of new and impacted items, integrating updates into pricing surveys.
Manages the menu pricing survey process, ensuring accurate data is delivered for implementation by restaurant technology teams.
Performs other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required, assigned, and directed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education - Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in business management with a Marketing or IT focus.
Experience – 3-5 years of experience with managing processes or projects in retail or restaurant environments.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve data discrepancies across multiple systems.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong operations or field knowledge. Hands-on experience and proficiency with restaurant operational systems and implementation.
Requires the ability to quickly learn and apply new skills, work well under pressure & tight deadlines.
Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work and communicate well across departments.
Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into actionable business processes.
Problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot menu setup, discrepancies, and system integration challenges.
Understanding of cross-functional workflows, including marketing, operations, IT, and analytics.
Ability to liaise between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring smooth menu execution and system alignment.
Ability to translate marketing strategies into operational execution, ensuring system readiness for new product launches.
Proficient knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office 365 (i.e., Word, Excel). Advanced Excel Skills required

Physical Requirements - Ability to speak/hear clearly in person and on the telephone. Ability to operate a personal computer. Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time as business needs require.

The range for this position is $65,900 - $92,300 and is based on an employee located at our corporate headquarters in San Diego. If the candidate is hired in a different city to work remote, we will apply a geographic pay differential based on the cost of labor in the market in which the employee resides.
