Location This position requires strong on-site presence in San Diego, CA with an expectation of working in the office with some hybrid flexibility. Summary We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Associate Director to lead FinOps, Service Delivery, and Business Engagement teams globally. Reporting to the Director, IT, you will play a critical role in enhancing the security, reliability, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. Responsibilities Lead and manage FinOps team to optimize cloud resource utilization and minimize costs. This includes analyzing cloud spending, identifying cost optimization opportunities, and implementing strategies to optimize cloud resources. Develop and implement FinOps policies and best practices to ensure cost-effective and sustainable cloud operations. Establish and maintain a robust infrastructure governance framework, ensuring security, reliability, and compliance. Define and enforce controls related to provisioning, configuration, and change management while proactively monitoring and optimizing infrastructure performance. Develop and implement robust SLAs/OLAs with stakeholders, incorporating security and compliance. Drive alignment between business needs and IT service delivery by defining clear expectations, metrics, and targets. Lead and develop a high-performing team of IT service management professionals. Drive continuous improvement within ITSM processes, leveraging technology to streamline operations and enhance service delivery. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment of IT services with business objectives and establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve service delivery effectiveness. Engages directly with suppliers, vendors, and outsource/service providers to ensure maximum value of delivered products/services, business processes are followed, partnerships/relationships are maintained, and a healthy/effective supply chain for critical services and resources is available. Requirements Demonstrated success in leading and managing diverse teams, achieving goals, and driving results. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present findings and recommendations to senior executives. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of IT infrastructure and emerging technologies. Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, adapt to change and resolve conflicts. Proven track record of delivering successful projects and meeting expectations in a fast-paced environment. Experience supporting 24x7 IT operations environments, including on-call rotations and incident response. Experience/Education Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent, advanced degree in Science, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Typically has 15+ years of experience in IT, with at least 8+ years of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), 3+ years of experience in FinOps principles and practices. 8+ years of experience in managing and leading global IT teams. Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform), monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.) Demonstrated experience with cloud cost optimization strategies, capacity planning, and service delivery. Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and best practices. Preferred Certifications: ITIL, Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), and relevant industry certifications. #LI-ONSITE The estimated base salary range for the Assoc Director, IT FinOps, Service Delivery & Business Engagement role based in the United States of America is: $167,200 - $250,800. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
