The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Technology and Operations Consulting will oversee the design and development of advisor solutions that help improve their understanding usage of technology and drive operational efficiencies for their practices. These advisor facing solutions are crucial for enabling advisors to contribute assets to the LPL platform.
This role involves close collaboration with Technology Product Management, the Technology team, the Product and Platform team, as well as other Business Services teams. The SVP will also need to understand the market landscape for platform technologies, including industry trends and innovations. Networking with industry peers and effectively communicating our competitive differentiators and weaknesses is essential. Success in this role will be measured by the execution, ongoing management and delivery of existing and new services.
Responsibilities:
- Determine customer needs and desires through interviews, market research, competitive analysis, and insights from the sales team and other industry research.
- Become a subject matter expert on customer needs and manage a multi-faceted feedback loop for continuous improvement of existing products and services.
- Collaborate with internal partners to research, propose, pilot, and launch new products and services using an innovative and agile approach.
- Source the latest technologies and tools and maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending conferences, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional communities.
- Define mid and long-term product development roadmaps, key features/capabilities, and manage development cycles with clear schedules, deliverables, and milestones.
- Develop metrics to assess the success of products and features and determine necessary enhancements.
- Work closely with IT partners to identify, recommend, and implement new technologies, including requirements, functional specifications, epics, and features.
- Define and continually refine key attributes of existing and potential new offerings, including the overall business case, product pricing, economics, and operating model.
- Articulate and pitch the Technology Consulting strategy and product vision clearly to senior executives, internal partners, and prospects.
- Ensure continued satisfaction of existing customers.
- Set a vision for the product portfolio and lay the foundation for execution.
- Take deep ownership of work, meet deadlines with minimal oversight, and constantly track and communicate project timelines, status, milestones, and blockers.
- Lead operations and efficiency consulting initiatives to optimize platform performance and streamline processes.
- Identify and implement best practices for operational efficiency and effectiveness across the platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- 10+ years of experience in product management, strategy, support, delivery, and/or business analysis.
- Working knowledge of Tableau, CRM platforms (Salesforce or Hubspot), Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Box, sales/delivery enablement, and content management platforms.
- Experience working with internal or third-party technology teams to devise requirements, specifications, epics, and features for new technology implementation.
- Experience with service delivery and/or technology product teams.
- Experience in financial services and/or working with small business owners.
Preferences:
- MBA.
- Experience in an organization providing outsourced services to financial advisors.
- Mastery of Excel and the ability to turn raw data into actionable insights.
Pay Range:
$180,900.00 - $301,500.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
