Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Manager 3 (Product Support) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on the Global Hawk Program. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.

Under the direction and leadership of the Product Support (PS) Regional Director and Global Hawk Program office, the Product Support (PS) Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads a diverse team of engineers, project management, technical writers, and logisticians ensuring quality lifecycle development, product sustainment, modernization of products, and services are executed in accordance with the Program Statement of Work (SOW) and are within budget, schedule constraints, and closure criteria.

  • This individual may lead internal and external Teammates/Suppliers to ensure Program Performance, cost/schedule and quality objectives are achieved.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Department Managers for resources, processes, and procedures applicable to the Program team to deliver on the program SOW, including Cost, Schedule, Performance and Quality.
  • Ensure technical coordination between other non-Product Support Program IPTs. The PS Global Hawk IPT Lead will interface with the Customer Program Offices, Program Leaders, Business Operations/Integration, and Product Support Engineering Service Centers to shape future requirements and ensure that contracted requirements defined by the SOW are achieved within budget, schedule, quality, and closure criteria.
  • Oversee and at times lead, preparation of presentation materials to support Program Reviews.
  • Manage the organization’s input to Change Board Activity such as Technical Review Board, Configuration Control Board, and Joint CCBs and will have oversight of what is presented in change packages as necessary.
  • Lead and have oversight for the logistics technical performance of the Global Hawk platform and must closely collaborate with peers within Product Support and at the parallel levels of Integrated Product Teams outside of the internal organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in STEM and 9 years of related professional and/or military experience that includes a background in program management and/or logistics/military flight operations, OR a Master’s degree in STEM AND 7 years of related professional and/or military experience that includes a background in program management and/or logistics.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in technical leadership or management.
  • Minimum 2 years of successful experience as a functional / section manager.
  • An Active Interim DoD Secret clearance.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering.
  • Experience working Logistics efforts on different phases of the program lifecycle.
  • Previous experience working with USAF customer.
  • Prior military experience to include aviation maintenance and or/fight operations.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management.
  • Ability to attain and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance (or higher).
  • Experience with FMS and DCS contracts.

Salary Range: $170,000 - $255,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
