We are looking for you to join our team for a Project Management Level 2 role based out of San Diego, CA.
What You’ll get to do:
Support the Engineering & Sciences Field Engineering Networked Information Solutions (NIS) team and deployed programs with a variety of duties that may include: performing administrative, operational planning and program support in the sustainment and operations of fielded systems. This position provides essential support to teams operating both CONUS (Continental United States) and OCONUS (Outside Continental United States) in a mission critical and highly dynamic environment. The nature of the position involves exposure to sensitive and private information necessitating considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment. In addition:
- Perform Control Account Management (CAM) duties.
- Perform Earned Value analysis for internal reporting and planning purposes to meet targeted cost, schedule, and staffing requirements.
- Manage and maintain detailed travel schedules for our OCONUS team.
- Report to Senior Management with travel, expense and schedule related status and reports.
- Conduct trend analysis and report data, e.g. manning shortfalls and requirements and forecast manning impacts to scheduled operations.
- Review labor resource and cost actuals on a weekly basis, taking action on any discrepancies.
- On a monthly basis: calculate & enter Estimate to Complete (ETCs) into the financial system, analyze EV metrics and generate Variance Reports (VARs) as required, and attend program VAR meetings.
- Define, plan, perform, monitor, control, and complete a variety of project tasks simultaneously.
- Perform schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks.
- Support the generation of proposal inputs, including Basis of Estimate, estimate rationale, overhead, labor and personnel capacity, and risk / opportunity tracking.
- Effectively collaborate with peers, work effectively on project and functional teams, interface with all layers of functional, program management and vendors.
- Navigate complex situations with thoughtful analysis and effectively problem-solve or seek timely guidance, showcasing strong interpersonal skills.
- Translate data driven findings into compelling presentations and reports; communicate and summarize detailed data to management.
- Develop performance metrics, charts and ad-hoc reports.
- Be a team player and work with all levels of management and administrative support.
- Limited travel, up to 10%, may be necessary.

Basic Qualifications:
- 2 Years with Bachelors; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Must have experience with CAM (Control Account Management) and/or EVM (Earned Value Management).
- Must be skilled with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
- Proven ability to be proactive, highly motivated, collaborative and adaptable, with excellent organizational skills including the ability to handle multiple tasks, changing needs, and competing priorities.
- U.S. Citizenship and a current / active DoD Secret level clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Highly skilled with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
- Experience and proficiency with Concur (or similar) travel and expense reporting system.
- Experience and proficiency with iTRIP travel reporting system.
Salary Range: $73,900 - $110,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
