PCA/ Nurse Assistant - Encinitas - ICU - Nights

This is a benefit-eligible, full-time position (72 hours every 2 weeks), working 12 hour night shifts and located at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The ideal candidate will be someone who is very eager to learn and work in a highly collaborative and fast paced environment. You’ll have an opportunity to support the Intensive Care Unit by assisting our nurses with bed turns, procedures, answering call bells as well as assisting patients with activities of daily living.

The general duties of the Patient Care Assistant include:

• Provides excellent service to patients as a key member of the clinical care team.
• Assists patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collects data, and ensures the patient has a safe, organized environment.
• Assists with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician.
• Supports the unit with a variety of patient logistic, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties.
