DESCRIPTION

The Community Partnership Coordinator will develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with community organizations and stakeholders to support the final course in the Critical Community Engagement (CCE) sequence, a project-based community engagement capstone called CCE 120.

Incumbent fosters ethical and sustainable community partnerships, coordinates community-engaged academic and co-curricular programs, works with students, develops protocols, conducts risk assessments, and assesses programmatic effectiveness based on stakeholder feedback. The role requires outstanding project management skills, strategic thinking, and dedication to the mission of educational excellence in Eighth College.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area such as Education, Sociology, Community Engagement, or Public Policy and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in community engagement program coordination or community partnership development preferred.
  • Experienced knowledge of specific learning theory, learning styles, affective issues, academic issues, and socio-cultural / linguistic issues in applying academic support to students.
  • Knowledge of how learning skills issues apply to a research institution.
  • Knowledge of academic curricula.
  • Knowledge in designing and implementing learning and pedagogical models.
  • Knowledge of strategies in critical thinking, reading, writing, note taking, test taking, time management, and goal setting.
  • May require knowledge of NCAA policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Skills in judgment and decision-making.
  • Problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of current research and theoretical models that influence the application and delivery of academic services (e.g., discipline specific, student-population specific).
  • Multicultural competencies, knowledge and experience working and interacting effectively with diverse groups of staff, faculty, and student populations.
  • Knowledge of program development, data gathering, assessment, and evaluation skills.
  • Proven experience managing reciprocal community partnerships in higher education or nonprofit settings.
  • Experience with risk assessment, grant writing, and program evaluation for community-based research and learning initiatives.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $69,500 - $123,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $33.29 - $59.15

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
