Seeking EMR Ambulatory credentialed trainer with "Epic" experience to work collaboratively with a high functioning clinical operations leadership team. Candidate will support outpatient specialty clinic practices by offering initial and ongoing focused training on existing and new workflows, 1:1's with providers and staff, and serve as a subject matter expert for ensuring effective usage of the EMR. Trainer will work closely with leaders, physicians and staff to improve care and the end user experience with the EMR. Trainer will also work closely and collaboratively with Rady IT, Clinical Informations Teams, Epic analysits, Principal Trainers, and other application trainers.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Credentialed Trainer (CT) integrates systems knowledge, adult learning practices, and education delivery to non-clinical and clinical support staff within the health system. The CT is responsible for ensuring users of our Electronic Medical Record System (EMR) and other technologies are professionally trained and supported. The CT will work collaboratively with the Clinical Informatics Team, EMR training team, Education Teams, and Clinical/Non-Clinical Operations Teams in the development of coursework and educational programs for employee development. The CT is primarily responsible for proactively identifying opportunities to improve efficiency/productivity with EMR workflows through rounding/meeting with teams/reviewing tickets to identify training gaps, and brining recommendations for initial and ongoing/refresher training to
leadership and the training team. The CT works closely with the Clinical EMR Trainer to provide input on curriculum and training environment build/maintenance, and delivering approved coursework and educational programs. Additionally, the CT emphasizes the importance of workflows, proper protocols for data entry, and documentation within the EMR system, to ensure clinicians/physicians understand these needs as a part of high quality and cost-effective health care delivery. The CT is expected to display a personal passion for educating others by creating an engaging learning environment to enhance the end user learning experience through creativity, enthusiasm, and high energy. An ideal candidate will have experience creating and implementing classroom training, understanding key workflows, supporting providers and clinical staff in a health
care setting, and effectively communicating/providing education/information to individuals and teams in group settings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's Degree
3 Years of Experience
Must achieve EMR Credentialed Trainer status within 12 weeks (about 3 months) of hire
5 years of clinical experience can be considered in lieu of Associate Degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
5 Years of Experience
RN, LVN, MA or other clinician experience
The current salary range for this position is $30.96 to $42.57
