This Administrative position supports the Center for Healthier Communities, a community facing department within Rady Children's Hospital. The Center focuses on work with Health Career Pipeline programs, Injury Prevention, Oral Health, Nutrition and Healthy Lifestyle and Maternal and Child Health. Within these focus areas this position provides logistical support, meeting management, procuring and tracking materials, tracking inventory and budgets. The Center is a dynamic department working with both internal and external partners, developing and implementing community facing programs. The ideal candidate would have excellent written and verbal communication skills, solid time managment and experience with project management. Work within the Center is ever evolving and changing so this position would be ideal for an individual who seeks a creative and dynamic work environment.
JOB SUMMARY:
Coordinates and performs department/unit administrative activities including, but not limited to, storing, retrieving and integrating information for dissemination to staff, customers, clients, vendors, patients and families. Coordinates functions required to ensure smooth operations, plans and executes projects within scope of responsibility, and works with external, inter and intra departmental teams to support department/unit. Provides training and orientation for new staff and troubleshoots office technologies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma, GED or Foreign equivalent
Two years of experience
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access
Competent English grammar and composition skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's Degree
Three years of experience
Typing at 50 words per minute
Software specific to departmental needs
Experience specific to area of support
The current salary range for this position is $24.26 to $33.36
