Description
Apple is where individual imaginations gather together, committing to the values that lead to great work. Every new product we build, service we create, or Apple Store experience we deliver is the result of us making each other’s ideas stronger. That happens because every one of us shares a belief that we can make something wonderful and share it with the world, changing lives for the better. It’s the diversity of our people and their thinking that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do. When we bring everybody in, we can do the best work of our lives. Here, you’ll do more than join something — you’ll add something. This role presents unique challenges as all automation runs on Customer Image software, meaning it operates without internal debugging tools or niceties. As a result, strong problem-solving skills, log analysis expertise, and collaboration across engineering teams are essential.
Description
As an RV Automation Triage Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and stability of automation across Release Validation (RV) test runs. You will triage automation failures, analyze root causes, and drive resolutions to maintain the health of stress testing, reliability testing, sign-off automation, UI automation, OTA update validation, and asset delivery automation.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience triaging automation failures and analyzing system logs.
Strong debugging and log analysis skills for investigating failures.
Familiarity with CI/CD systems, test automation frameworks, and software validation.
Ability to read and understand automation code (Python, Swift, or equivalent).
Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across engineering, QA, and infrastructure teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Customer Image testing environments.
Familiarity with Apple’s software update processes and automation tools.
Background in release validation, automation health monitoring, or stability engineering.
Knowledge of asset delivery systems and their impact on software validation.
