Position Purpose:
The Sales Support Specialist assists the Design and Sales Specialist team in building all product and project quoting while removing friction from the selling process to help drive sales in a timely and accurate fashion. The Sales Support Specialist will also work very closely with the HDDC Merchandising team on all friction that may arise thru the quote building process. The Sales Support Specialist will be called upon to inform customers on product delivery details including delays due to damages or reorders and ensure the best possible customer experience. The position will work very closely with Design Center leaders and SSC support members on key friction points within the selling process. The Sales Support Specialist will be responsible for accuracy of quoting in areas such as Cost and Retail to avoid PO Rejects from our vendors. If a quote is Auto Rejected, it’s the responsibility of the Sales Support Specialist to work on correct pathing to resolve issues. This role will require the Sales Support Specialist to be present within the showroom during key selling hours within the showroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- 45% - Customer Service - Keeps clients informed of delivery expectations as needed. Partners with post sale support in gaining information needed regarding Vendor delays &/or issues. Acts as primary point of contact for clients’ post-design or sale in and partners internally as necessary to resolve customer issues.
- 45% - Quote & Sales Support - Partner with Designers and Sales Specialists to build client quotes. Assists clients and designers with special orders and installed sales. Utilize knowledge of Quote Center to create seamless ordering experience for clients. Partners with SSC Support team to address friction points in sales process.
- 10% - Self-Development - Develops and maintains proficiency in Quote Center. Coaches other associates regarding product features, cost, benefits, etc. as necessary. Maintains knowledge of all products in showroom. Proactively seeks knowledge on all products and services. Routinely develops skills in related areas of expertise.

Travel Requirements:
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States

- Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
