Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 6 years of related experience. An AA Degree or certification in assigned area preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.



Responsibilities for this Position

As the Sr. Advanced Material Handling Associate, youll act as a team lead for group activities, cross-functional or Supply Chain communication and customer inquiries. Additionally, youll analyze and act on data related to production rates data, review stock records, and prepare purchase orders to determine stock status against production requirements. Youll also communicate material control issues to department, identify material shortages, support problem solving resolutions and actively develop continuous improvement strategies.

You will support logistics tasking in our GDMS LCS Program at our National City location.

What you bring to the table:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 4 years of related experience
  • Ability to handle and process classified material or oversee storage of customer property with knowledge of military and government logistics processes
  • Exceptional computer skills and knowledge of the enterprise software tools and associated data
  • Solid knowledge of material planning, control and inventory methodology and applies it to a wide range of tasks

Duties and Tasks:

  • Possess necessary computer skills to proficiently handle routine tasks and performs limited data entry
  • Performs the physical and administrative tasks involved in receiving, storing, distributing, packaging, shipments, and issue of materials (DD form 1149)
  • Upon receipt of material shipments, verifies quantities against Purchase Orders and identifies/documents material shortages
  • Communicate with lead and/or supervisor to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • transport material from Operations Center to customer sites
  • Uses computer system for routing, tracking, status of materials, and processing of shipments
  • Performs Cycle counts, monthly Inventory, and location verification of materials within Warehouse/Storage Containers
  • *Responsible for managing the quarterly and annual inventory of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), maintaining accountability of GDMS owned vehicles and coordination of Test Equipment Calibration
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal GDMS hours of operation and occasional work-related travel
  • May serve as liaison between Supply Chain Management, Buyers, and Waterfront Engineering to ensure on-time delivery of materials to meet scheduled work accomplishments

Combined Salary Range

USD $28.07 - USD $30.10 /Hr.
